Two sisters who married two
brothers were thrilled to be
reunited this summer, after 13
The opportunity for the two Star-
key families to catch up came last
March when Lyndsey Starkey from
Taradale won the Napier City
Council's Sisters competition.
She says the win, ahead of 1000
entries nationwide, left her speech-
less -- to start with, anyway.
We had so much to catch up on.
I hadn't seen Sharon since my hus-
band, Mark, and I emigrated from
the UK in 1998.
All of us had such an amazing
time, especially over Christmas.
It was a toss-up between a tra-
ditional hot meal and a cold one.
Sharon and Terry wanted the cold-
lunch experience, but we ended up
with the traditional turkey and
ham and the whole works.
To make it a bit different for
them we had it outside in the gar-
den. It was fabulous for them; such

her again -- and we found lots of
